In a statement to the media after the meeting of the Parliamentary Bureau, Democratic Party MP Flamur Noka stated that today it was decided to extend the period of exclusion of six opposition MPs, from 30 days, until March.
“This is the level Rama has taken the Assembly to. The expulsion starts with 30 days, now the expulsion period continues, being extended in violation of every regulation and the status of the MP until March. It was said one month, now they are extending it to 3 months. Six MPs have been expelled until mid-March. Do you understand? ,” said Noka.
Noka added that “The exclusion starts from December 23 and is said to last until March 3, we are enemies of Edi Rama and the drug lord and we are not allowed to enter the Albanian Parliament. Despite the fact that the citizens have given us the mandate, Edi Rama wants to temporarily take the mandate away from us.”
The Democratic MP stated that the opposition will appeal this decision to the Administrative Court.

At the end of his statement to the media, Noka spoke about the protest called by the opposition on Saturday, saying that ” January 24 is a day that we will invite every Albanian and every free and dignified citizen of this country to join this opposition front to confront the gang of power.”
At today’s meeting of the National Bureau of the Assembly, which was accompanied by debates (read here) the appeal of the Democratic Party regarding the exclusion of six deputies for 30 days from participation in plenary sessions was reviewed.
The six MPs, Belind Këlliçi, Fidel Kreta, Albana Vokshi, Klevis Balliu, Flamur Noka and Elda Hoti, were expelled from the Ethics Committee on December 23 of last year, at the request of the Socialist Party following tensions in the Parliament hall, where flares were also thrown.
